What do I need to run it?
A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Pebble Reef supports both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Does it really sit behind my windows?
Yes. The native Mac app has a transparent aquarium window. Resize it, send it behind your other windows, or bring it forward from the menu bar fish icon.
Can I use it as a desktop pet for Mac?

Is it an aquarium screensaver or live wallpaper?
Pebble Reef is an interactive Mac app that runs while you use your computer. It stays behind your windows and leaves your wallpaper in place. You can feed the fish and decorate the tank. See how it compares with an aquarium screensaver.

Every released fish, tank, theme, decoration, and care tool. Version 1.1 has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or bubble costs. US$3.99 once, with local pricing in other regions. Existing owners keep their aquarium and get everything with the update.
Can I enjoy it offline?
Yes. Your bundled aquarium content works offline, and your aquarium is saved locally. No Pebble Reef account is required.
What about iPad?
A native touch-friendly iPad version is on the way. It is not available yet. Join the waitlist for the launch announcement.
